Masai giraffe

Masai giraffes are the tallest animals on Earth, with males reaching up to 5.9 meters in height.

Their long necks help them reach leaves high in acacia trees, which make up most of their diet.

Each Masai giraffe has a unique coat pattern of jagged, irregular spots that distinguish it from other giraffe subspecies.

A giraffe’s heart weighs about 11 kilograms and generates enough pressure to pump blood to its brain.

Masai giraffes can consume up to 34 kilograms of food daily and rarely need to drink water, getting most of their moisture from plants.

Despite their height, Masai giraffes can run at speeds of up to 60 km/h when threatened.
